The world of Jackie & The Rats is extraordinary, literally. It’s not ordinary. It’s different. It’s specific. In order to tell this story, it requires a long, honest, foundational understanding of the characters and their dispositions. Our team is this story.  Actor-producer Jamie Brewer is cast in the role of Amber, the first ever narrator with Down syndrome. Jackie is based on our executive producer, Amanda Booth, and Leo is based on her son, Micah. Our producer, Sage Price, grew up with a non-verbal big brother, Travis, who also has Down syndrome and autism. Our directors, Nadav and Erez, are essentially Micah’s uncles, and have witnessed his growth since he was six months old. In addition, they have experience directing Micah on camera. Working with a neurodivergent cast is a very unique assignment, and our team’s cumulative love and understanding of Jackie’s world is, frankly put, unmatched.
